Abstract

GUEVARA-HUAMAN, LM et al. Adhesive strength of lithium disilicate after using hydrofiuoric acid. Av Odontoestomatol [online]. 2022, vol.38, n.3, pp.117-121.  Epub Dec 05, 2022. ISSN 2340-3152.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/s0213-12852022000300005.

Iam:

The iam of the study was to determine the adhesive strengthoflithiumdisilicateceramicswhenconditionedwithhydrofluoricacid at different concentrations and application times.

Material and methods:

for which 40 specimens were evaluated, obtained after making and preparing the samples, in which the concentrations of hydrofluoricacid were applied at two different times and a resinous cement. Shears trength was evaluated using the CMT-5L universal testing machine at the High Technology Certificated Laboratory.

Results:

the results show that a statistically significant difference (p <0.05) was found between two of the evaluated groups, but we can conclude that the shears trength values between the evaluated groups and the control group present similar values of adhesive resistance.

Conclusions:

The conclusions of the research focus on the evaluation of the concentration and time of application of hydrofluoricacidonlithiumdisilicate ceramic shows similar adhesive strength values.

Keywords : Surface energy; Hydrofluoricacid; Silane.
