Abstract

LLORET, M.F.  and  TERAN, A.. Clothes line orofacial injuries: case report. Cir. plást. iberolatinoam. [online]. 2015, vol.41, n.4, pp.437-441. ISSN 1989-2055.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S0376-78922015000400011.

We present the clinical case of a 27 year old patient with a lesion mechanism seldom depicted in the literature: orofacial wounds caused by a clothes line. The morbidity rate is high, as in some cases the wounds affect vital structures. These types of wounds represent a challenge for reconstruction and should be evaluated in a multidisciplinary way, since the urgent attention given to the most evident injuries, could conceal an appropriate diagnosis and the handling of others that are equally severe.
