Abstract

Chronobiology is the medical discipline dealing with the study and practice of biological events related with time. We make in this paper a bibliographic review of the concepts defining chronobiology as a medical discipline from its origin up to the present time in relation with the experimental and clinical studies of cancer treatment. The principal objective of this review is to define the concepts constituting the mentioned biological discipline, as well as the methodological tools it uses for its development and diffusion in daily clinical practice in Oncology.
