Abstract

[online]. 2005, vol.28, n.5, pp.43-51. ISSN 0378-4835.

In recurrent glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma, surgery and carmustine (NCNU) polymers implants over the surgical area of the removed recidivation is a promising way to improve the quality of life, the neurologic and general symptoms, and the tumor control. We report our data and experience in four patients. The resection was optimized because the patients were young and showed a performance status between 0 and 2.
