VIVES ARGILAGOS, A.  and  SORANDO ALASTRUEY, R.. Cold urticaria: A case report . Medifam [online]. 2002, vol.12, n.7, pp.61-63. ISSN 1131-5768.

Urticaria and angioneurotic edema are common disorders in Primary Health Care.  They are between the most frequent dermatologic problems for the general practicioner. Cold exposure can produce a hypersensitivity reaction appearing as hives and edema.  We report a case of cold urticaria in a 54 years old woman diagnosed by the appearance of lesions in the cold exposed areas and an easy provocation test consisting of the contact of a cold object with forearm's skin during five minutes.

Keywords : Cold urticaria; Primary Health Care; Histamine H1 antagonists.
