Abstract
MENGUAL PAVIA, J. A. and OLTRA MASANET, J. A.. Sjögren syndrome associated to hepatic alterations: two cases in Primary Health Care. Medifam [online]. 2003, vol.13, n.3, pp.56-60. ISSN 1131-5768.
The Sjögren syndrome (SS) is a self-inmune illness of multiorganic affectation, distinguished by the dryness of general mucous membranes and extraglandular affectations such as arthritis, Raynaud phenomenon and hepatic affectation in addition to others. We display two cases of SS where the hepatic affectation with the increase of transaminases was the key for the diagnosis of the illness. The family doctor finds himself in a privileged situation in the detection of multiorganic illnesses such as SS, since the overall view of the patient as well as his continuation are more usual, something more difficult in other fields.
Keywords : Sjögren syndrome; Liver; Primary Health Care.
