Abstract

Today the dissatisfaction with body image becomes obsessive, the most worrisome being swallowed what or what not. There are ways to inform young people about these health behaviors. Therefore, the rationale of our study is to make sure whether this is also a reality in a population of nursing students. The overall objective is to detect the existence of possible eating disorders by determining the body mass index and the possible modulation of anxious personality trait. Descriptive study where they interviewed 128 students in 1 nursing applying the STAI and the EAT-26. The results show that an alarming percentage suffering from eating disorders, with few receiving treatment for this disorder. Deviations are also advised on the parameters of body mass index, and the personality trait anxious shows some correlation with these disorders.
