Abstract
DIAS DO NASCIMENTO, Jaqueline et al. Use of the software NVivo® in research using Grounded Theory. Index Enferm [online]. 2016, vol.25, n.4, pp.263-267. ISSN 1699-5988.
This article aims to introduce the experience of using a software to support qualitative research, NVivo10®, in a survey that used Grounded Theory as a method. Initially, a primary script is introduced with information on how to handle the software, and then the experience itself is described. It is concluded that using such software is a technological tool that makes it easier to organize, visualize, and access research data, something which represents saving time and work. And this is consistent with the methodology proposed, because, among other things, it helps managing large amounts of data generated by the Grounded Theory. However, it does not replace researcher's work. Therefore, it is worth going deeper into the method of choice and knowledge on the technological resource, making a better use of it.
