Abstract

CASAS PATARROYO, Claudia Patricia et al. Traditional and Complementary Medicine practices on patients with hematologic neoplasic diseases. Index Enferm [online]. 2017, vol.26, n.1-2, pp.20-24. ISSN 1699-5988.

Aim: To know traditional and complementary practices (TCP) performed by patients whom undergone into chemotherapy for hematologic neoplasm. Methods: Qualitative and descriptive research. Collecting data technical was pseudo-structured interview. Analysis follow the Morse proposal. Results: All of the interviewers used TCP. The themes at the end were: Disease evolution: Diagnosis Maze; Complementary practices of health care: Spiritual and nutritional practices; Cope strategy: How to face new reality. Describe patient's practices and their perception of the health's effect and co-adjuvant in chemotherapy. Conclusion: Traditional and complementary practices are used frequently by the patients who found resources to stimulate the immunologic system.
