Abstract

Objective:

To present the process of construction and validation of an instrument with management indicators for composing a software of nurse dimensioning in the delivery and postpartum.

Methods:

composed of three steps: the first, defined as the construction of the instrument; the second, the validation by judges. The third, composed by final structuring of the instrument and calculation of the Content Validity Index and Cronbach's Alpha.

Results:

Of the instrument items with the indicators approved by the specialists, nine obtained individual Content Validity Index between 0.75 and 0.92 and three indicators with a value of 1.0, with a total Content Validity Index of 0.89.

Conclusions:

The results obtained in the evaluation of the Cronbach's Alpha and the Content Validity Index demonstrate an internal consistency and the reliability of the instrument with 12 indicators.
