Abstract
SCORSOLINI-COMIN, Fabio. The past, present and future of the concept of family in the field of health: ruptures and permanencies. Index Enferm [online]. 2022, vol.31, n.3, pp.190-193. Epub Feb 06, 2023. ISSN 1699-5988.
Main objective:
To reflect on the field of family studies, reflecting on its possible interfaces with health and education in contemporary times.
Methodology:
A theoretical study of reflection based on Family Psychology and Nursing.
Main results:
The specific models and repertoires with which we analyze the family build certain perceptions, meanings and practices. These representations permeate the way we teach and learn about family and also how we develop our own repertoires both for health care and for acting in educational contexts.
Main conclusion:
The concept of family has proved to be sufficiently broad and flexible to encompass different models, configurations and operators that have promoted changes in this notion. In the health area, understanding that the effects of rupture and permanence movements coexist in this concept helps us to effectively make it dynamic.
