Abstract

SORIANO MALDONADO, M.  and  MARTINEZ-GARCIA, P.. Death by Electrocution. Cuad. med. forense [online]. 2003, n.32, pp.71-74. ISSN 1988-611X.

The lesion most characteristic in deaths caused by electrocution is the electric mark of Jellinek, already described in this section; however, the frequency of its appearance is not very high. On the other hand, the absence of characteristic lesions in the internal exam forces us to exercise extreme caution in the external exam of the cadaver. In the present paper we expound a case of electrocution of a construction worker and the most characteristic lesions shown.

Keywords : Electrocution; Electrical burns.
