Observations on pathology and other abnormal conditions offer insights not only into cause and manner of death but many other factors that can assist with identification and other aspects of the investigation. These areas of inquiry include the determination of antiquity, cultural origin, antemortem conditions, lifestyle, occupation and postmortem events.
