Abstract
Distal intestinal obstruction syndrome (SOID) is a digestive complication specific of patients with cystic fibrosis, characterized by the accumulation of viscous fecal matter and thick secretions. It can lead to the appearance of total or partial intestinal obstruction, affecting the distal ileum, cecum, or ascending colon. For its treatment, it is suggested the administration of oral polyethylene glycol or through a nasogastric tube. Surgery is reserved for refractory cases.
