Abstract

Starting from a stage of integration of psychological work within the culture of the club, is presented the philosophy, planning and professional performance of the Department of Psychology Club Atletico de Madrid at the Grassroots. The main objectives of the club are to allow football players to get to professional football and achieve a promising future after withdrawal or drop-out. The project focuses on people within the team‘s and club´s goals. It seeks both personal development and sporting talent of the players from a global perspective (physical, technical, tactical and psychological). To make this work, it addresses the broad community that makes up the sporting group such as sports players, parents, sports technicians, directors, coordinators and medical services. The functions performed are advisory, guidance, training, evaluation, intervention and research within this context. The repertoire of action focuses primarily on the psychological training, learning and formation-education.
