The analyzed studies conclude that the athletes with higher sport level use the SPI, helping them to enhance the task performance (e.g., the processes of anticipatory actions). The contributions of the study are to assess the SPI like an information that: i) related past and present visual information (cognitive approach) or related athletes and sport context (ecological approach), ii) it is trainable, being useful in those sports that athletes must performance quick and accurate responses.
