Abstract

FERNANDEZ BELINCHON, Cristina  and  RODRIGUEZ MOYA, Laura. Psychoanalytic treatment of personality disorders. Acción psicol. [online]. 2013, vol.10, n.1, pp.57-64. ISSN 2255-1271.  https://dx.doi.org/10.5944/ap.10.1.7033.

From the psychoanalytic model, personality disorders have been referred to a diagnostic category but have been recently studied and developed. At the theoretical level, have been extensively studied, however, in practice, due to the frame of the model to which we are referring, have been few authors who have structured a treatment mode. In this paper we will focus on the theory of these psychopathological disorders (from the beginning with Freud to the present), in their evaluation and treatment, following, especially, Otto Kernberg, who has systematized a way to address these disorders, which has called "expressive therapy".

Keywords : Personality disorder; psychoanalysis; Otto Kernberg; expressive therapy; splitting.
