Abstract

DE LIMA TRINDADE, L. et al. Influencia de los estilos de liderazgo del enfermero en las relaciones interpersonales del equipo de enfermería. Enferm. glob. [online]. 2011, vol.10, n.22. ISSN 1695-6141.

This is a qualitative study of a descriptive and exploratory kind whose aim is to ascertain leadership styles developed by nurses and the influence of these in the interpersonal relationships established in the nursing team. Five nurses from a general hospital in Southwest Paraná participated in the study. Data collection was through semi-structured interview and observation. The findings pointed to nurses' difficulty in understanding leadership and its applicability. It was noticed that this result has been contributing to the adoption of an autocratic and bureaucratic posture, causing conflicts in the work environment, damaging the interpersonal relationships and the care provided to the service users.
