Abstract

MARTINEZ-CLEVES, Félix Raúl. A listening for care. Contributions from Bernard Stiegler's thought. Temperamentvm [online]. 2022, vol.18, e14055.  Epub Apr 17, 2023. ISSN 1699-6011.  https://dx.doi.org/10.58807/tmptvm20225132.

The theoretical approaches regarding the technique by Bernard Stiegler can be used to understand orality as a technology, the contributions of said technology to care, and the importance of care in the configuration of a negantropic political economy. This article proposes a theoretical support for qualitative research in nursing and other health sciences. For this, a general approach to Stiegler's ideas is made, and from there a dialogue is built that, using different sources, identifies elements of orality in terms of care. One of the arguments that is derived is that the possibility of studies in this perspective is not limited to case studies, instead, they can be contributors to epistemologies distant from the Anthropocene. This work opens paths of theoretical and methodological dialogues through the thought of Bernard Stiegler, calling the attention of research where orality is understood as a technology and its methodological relevance with respect to listening, contributing both to care, as well as to negantropic economic models.
