Abstract

GARCIA-CUBILLANA DE LA CRUZ, J.M.. Severe eosinophilia after a travel to the tropic: strongyloidiasis: a case report. Sanid. Mil. [online]. 2013, vol.69, n.2, pp.95-97. ISSN 1887-8571.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S1887-85712013000200006.

We present a case of infestation by Strongyloides stercoralis (Babay, 1876) in a male 16 years old, who had been simultaneously parasitized by Dermatobia hominis (Linnaeus, 1781) during his stay in the Panamanian forest. The diagnostic approach to severe eosinophilia in peripheral blood after a travel to the tropic is presented.
