Abstract

This paper aims to present the case study of a military casualty with a femoral fracture due to penetrating trauma by gunshot. On the one hand, analyzing its diagnosis, the surgical treatment using the external fixation, and the modified Judet's quadriceplasty as a surgical alternative for the treatment of the contracture in extension of the knee; and, on the other hand, to carry out a review of the literature in this field.
