Abstract

Objective:

It is necessary to have valid and reliable test for to screening the risk of injuries in athletes, furthermore the aimed for this study was determined the reproducibility of the Functional Movement Screen in amateur soccer players.

Method:

36 university amateur footballers were tested. Four physiotherapists applied the Functional Movement Screen, and Re-test was applied in real time to 20% of participants. To calculate intra rater reproducibility was used index Kappa Fleiss, and for inter-rater was used intraclass correlation interval.

Results:

According of Kappa Fleiss Functional Movement Screen test showed a degree of interrater agreement almost perfect K = 0.89 to 1, also exhibited excellent stability intraevaluador intraclass correlation interval = 0.81.

Conclusion:

The Functional Movement Screen test is reproducible as a screening tool for risk of injury in amateur footballers.
