Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder characterized mainly by the presence of psychosis. In this disorder appear fundamental and characteristic distortions of perception, thought and emotion, the latter in the form of dullness or inadequacy thereof. It is estimated that the prevalence of schizophrenia along life is between 0.7 and 1.5%. In this case we find a patient having a profile still quite common nowadays, which has adhesion to the pharmacotherapy, at least partially, with the subsequent control the positive symptoms of the disease, but with a marked presence of negative symptoms being own of Schizophrenia, that make it difficult to work the motivation to adopt changes to healthy lifestyles to improve their health and life.
