To gain the trust of a person is extremely important for obtaining an affective relationship in nursing care, same as given through communication; because it goes beyond, achieves the transmission of attitudes and getting to know the other person better, which ultimately results in perceiving the person in a whole, integral and unique way. (1) This narrative is analyzed according to the Knowledge Patterns of Barbara Carper and discusses the affection that was created between an elderly person and nurse in which is perceived how both parties can be satisfied and benefited through human nursing care.
