Introduction: The great ablation or FGM is a reality in our country, imported from the least developed countries due to globalization and changes in migration flows. So, we intend to identify the consequences on the health of women who have undergone female genital mutilation and determine the psychological impact it has for them. Methodology: Literature review through systematic and thorough evaluation of scientific evidence it and existing databases of Health Sciences. Conclusions: The consequences for women are very heterogeneous, being a health problem that transcends physical and psychological care and the legal framework, violating the human.
