Introduction: Health care in Spain are based on informal and family care. There is limited research on the care by men, hence the novelty of this study. Objective: Know the motivation of family caregivers men in rural and urban areas. Methodology: Qualitative study. The subjects were male caregivers who live in rural and urban areas. Results: it was their duty of caring before returning gave the person you care for. They also claim formation for care. Conclusions: No differences in the motivation of caregivers in rural and urban areas.
