Abstract

Objective:

to determine the effectiveness of the night rounds of nursing in the comfort of the patient in a surgery service.

Methods:

quantitative and quasi-experimental research, the simple consisted of 32 patients in the control group and 32 in the experimental group.

Results:

the comfort level improved from a medium level to a high level.

Conclusion:

the nocturnal nursing rounds improve the comfort of the patient, not only timely identifying their needs and directing their actions to the biological, psychospiritual, environmental and social demands of the patient, but also adequately organizing nursing interventions and night care.
