Abstract
RIVERA-GALVAN, Alejandra. Nursing narrative: take care of my baby like you took care of me. Ene. [online]. 2022, vol.16, n.1, 1245. Epub Sep 19, 2022. ISSN 1988-348X.
This article analyses a narrative of a nursing situation in which a student cares for a patient in the obstetric intensive care area and in the neonatal intensive care area. The purpose is to show the importance of the development of the epistemological and ontological bases of nursing. Several components of nursing knowledge have been identified, such as the vision of the world specifically of reciprocal or interactive integrative interaction, the philosophy of Jane Watson, the knowledge patterns proposed by Carper, White, Chin and Kramer and the nursing meta-paradigm defined according to the experience lived by the nurse within the phenomenon of reproductive health. Through this analysis, the epistemological and ontological assumptions that are immersed in clinical practice were identified.
