The metabolic syndrome is a set of cardiovascular risk factors that generates significant morbidity and mortality in the adult population and, therefore, it could affect the health of workers, the productivity of companies and society as a whole. This study aims to determine the prevalence of metabolic syndrome in a Public Administration of the Canary Islands during the period 2011-2020 as well as its distribution by age, sex and occupational social class according to the criteria established by the National Cholesterol Education Program of the USA in the III Adult Treatment Panel (NCEP / ATPIII) and those of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF)
