Abstract

PEREZ CASTILLO, Raydel. Estimation of corporal composition by anthropometric method in 12-17 years race walkers in Granma. JONNPR [online]. 2020, vol.5, n.8, pp.819-830.  Epub July 12, 2021. ISSN 2529-850X.  https://dx.doi.org/10.19230/jonnpr.3454.

Objective:

Evaluating the modifications in the corporal composition in race walking of 12-17 years in Granma during the physical general preparation of the season 2018-2019.

Material and Methods:

A descriptive study, side road and correlacional of series of cases during September 2018 were designed to January 2019. We evaluated a non-random sample of 7 athletes participants from different categories of race walk. Anthropometric measurement was conducted under the technical ISAK. The body composition was determined using the method of Ross & Kerr. The Corporal composition was determined utilizing Ross's method and Kerr. Slaughter's formula for the calculation of the percentage of grease, Corporal Active weight's index (AKS), the indictment of six pleats and Corporal weight's index himself.

Results:

The correlations for coefficient of Spearman and linear regression evidenced that they find the bigger association between the percentage of grease with the indictment of the six pleats (Rho: 0.86 and 1.00) in both moments of the physical preparation. The moral values of concordance for the variable indictment of the six pleats, percentages of corporal grease and index AKS between both stages came from 0.95; 0.86 and 0.78 respectively.

Findings:

The indictment of the six pleats, the percentage of corporal grease and the index AKS they constitute the most accurate indicators for the medical sports control of the corporal composition. Quetelet's index is suggested to hold only in store for nutricional characterizations of the status and you do not stop trawling of the variations of the corporal composition in front of the loads of workouts.
