Introduction:

occupational diseases (included in RD 1299/2006) in Spain are underdiagnosed, which is why the importance of their study and analysis for their correct assessment and protection of the worker.

Objective:

To describe a case of Pulmonary Hypersensitivity Pneumonia type in a self-employed worker.

Methodology:

retrospective study - clinical history and resolution EVI (Disability Assessment Team) - of an agricultural worker patient with a final diagnosis of Farmer’s Lung Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis, included as an occupational disease annex I group IV caused by inhalation of substances, collected as high and low molecular weight.

Discussion:

farmer’s lung pneumonitis is a type of hypersensitivity pneumonitis, sometimes difficult to diagnose, it is also known as extrinsic allergic alveolitis, it is an immunologically mediated inflammatory lung disease that affects the terminal airways. The condition is associated with intense or repeated exposure to inhaled biological powders, it is included in RD 1299/2006 as a Professional Disease.
