Abstract

MUNOZ SIMARRO, Damián; NUNEZ GUERRERO, Mª Inmaculada  and  RUIZ CUADRA, Mª Teresa. Update for the correct recommendation of vaccination tetans in workers. Rev Asoc Esp Espec Med Trab [online]. 2020, vol.29, n.3, pp.194-197.  Epub Jan 11, 2021. ISSN 3020-1160.

Given the variability among professionals when recommending tetanus vaccination, we decided to review the available evidence on tetanus vaccination.

We use the following databases: SciELO, PubMed, Cochrane, Cuiden Plus.

We found different guidelines and recommendations in different years according to the epidemiology of each era and we made a brief history of the evolution of tetanus vaccination recommendations. As well, we set the current recommendation by the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System.

The current recommendations tell us about a maximum of 5 years in a lifetime, where every vaccine is put into account, the coverage must be the entire population, assessing individually the most exposed working population the correct vaccination compliance and the presentation of a potentially potential wound tetagenic, remembering that the short pattern improves compliance.

Keywords : tetanus; vaccination schedule; vaccination recommendation.
