Abstract

REYERO POSTIGO, Teresa Lidia  and  IZQUIERDO LAMOCA, Luis Miguel. Uterine myomas as a rare cause of iliac vein compression syndrome. Angiología [online]. 2021, vol.73, n.5, pp.256-259.  Epub Oct 18, 2021. ISSN 1695-2987.  https://dx.doi.org/10.20960/angiologia.00311.

Iliac compression syndrome (May-Thurner syndrome) is usually caused by pathologic compression of the left common iliac vein by the right common iliac artery, but we must not forget that there are other causes of stenosis. In these cases, two women suffered from stenosis secondary to myomas, and they were sent to Gynecology for their treatment after a diagnostic phlebography.

Keywords : Iliac compression; May-Thurner syndrome; Myomas; Extrinsic.
