PURPOSE: Testicular germ cell tumors occur at increased frequency in men with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). We make a bibliographical review of this entity. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A 30 year old man with simultaneous diagnosis of HIV infection and testicular seminoma is presented. CONCLUSION: Testicular seminoma occurs significantly more frequently in HIV-positive men than in control population. The treatment of these patients is similar to that employed in the HIV- negative population.
