When it happens, preoperative misdiagnosis is the rule, because the clinicoradiological picture is quite similar to the nerve sheath tumours one. Spinal epidural cavernomas complete resection can be achieved with surgical treatment and scarcely morbi-mortality, and excellent outcome can be expected. We report a case of a 57 year-old woman carrying a dumbbell-shaped epidural cavernoma located at C7 and D1 levels that was surgically removed.
