LOZANO-GOMEZ, M.; RELANO-COBIAN, M.T.; ESPINOSA-GARCIA, A. and DE-LA-PINTA-GARCIA, J.C.. Management of complex regional pain syndrome: a case report. Rev. Soc. Esp. Dolor [online]. 2018, vol.25, n.3, pp.163-165. ISSN 1134-8046. https://dx.doi.org/10.20986/resed.2018.3636/2017.
The complex regional pain syndrome is a disease that is characterized by pain, functional impotence, vasomotor disorders and trophic alterations. This syndrome combines several types of pain, neuropathic and nociceptive pain, associated with abnormal activity of the sympathetic nervous system.
In this case report, we describe the echo-guided pulsed radiofrequency over the median nerve, it has been a low-invasive option with a good response for pain control, being a valid alternative for patients in whom conventional therapy has not worked.
Keywords : Complex regional pain syndrome; radiofrequency.
