AGUERO ORGAZ, D.; CUBERO SOBRADOS, M.C. and MARTIN GORDO, O.. Erythema nodosum, a case report. Rev Pediatr Aten Primaria [online]. 2009, vol.11, n.43, pp.451-456. ISSN 1139-7632.
The erythema nodosum is a septal panniculitis without vasculitis that is characterized clinically by the appearance of inflammatory and painful cutaneous nodules that affect predominantly to the pretibial surface of the low extremities, though it can appear in other locations. It prevails in women between 15 and 30 years of age, in spring and the end of winter. The aetiology is multiple. We present the clinical case of a sixteen-years-old patient with clinical characteristics compatible with a biopsy-proven erythema nodosum.
