Abstract

Objective:
to discuss, based on the transversality of time, the practice of care and nursing. The historiographic essay, with analysis of written and imagery documents, discussed based on the practices of the past times, and with evidence-based nursing care.
Results:
they comprise the findings in documents, and the genesis image of the practice of care elaborated by women and men. The results pointed to representations of care from times gone to the present based on research for the implementation of evidence-based care.
Conclusion:
Going through the temporalities of nursing care and trajectory showed that practices were based on evidence, brought by history the new versions and interpretations - lessons learned in the past to the present.
