Introduction:

The postage stamp is a miniature account of the history of mankind, its most important events, its main characters, its achievements and its mistakes. Since 2007, Correos has authorized the issuance of personalized stamps, called "TU SELLO", which allows companies, organizations and philately enthusiasts to produce stamps designed by themselves to honor famous people, publicize relevant events, etc. With this idea, a personalized stamp is made that pays tribute to nursing in 2020.

Methodology:

To carry out the analysis of "Tu Sello", the iconographic-iconological method of Panofsky has been used.

Results:

In the small space of the "Tu Sello" vignette the main events that, throughout 2020, have been related to nursing are reflected, namely: the Bicentennial of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the commemoration of 2020 as International Year of Nurses and Midwives and finally the COVID-19 pandemic that since the end of 2019 has changed our lives and has turned healthcare professionals into true heroes.

Conclusion:

The use of personalized stamps is a way of making known, through philately, events, characters, relevant events or events that otherwise would not have their reflection on the postage stamp, given the limited and demanding policy of the philatelic services of the different countries to include in their emissions everything that is relevant that may occur over the course of a year. This has been, and no other, the objective of issuing this " Tu Sello " tribute to nursing in a year as difficult and as relevant for the profession as 2020 has been.
