Abstract
MORENO FONTIVEROS, M.ª Ángeles and SAMFYC. Grupo de Estudio del Adolescente (greAdol) et al. Update in the treatment of attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity (ADHD) in primary care. Rev Clin Med Fam [online]. 2015, vol.8, n.3, pp.231-239. ISSN 2386-8201. https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S1699-695X2015000300006.
ADHD is an evolutionary disorder. An important part of ADHD's patients have been diagnosed in paediatric age; in his adolescence and adult age they will need an efficient medical followup in Primary Care. The pharmacological treatment of this disease is easy, but it needs a frequent dose review and side-effect management. Treatment dropout in adolescence has serious consequences in their health and environment, what contrasts with the excellent response of this pathology to the existing pharmacological and behavioural treatments. Because of all these reasons, the Primary care physician is an essential instrument to improve the care received by adult and adolescent ADHD patients.
