Abstract

NUNEZ MARRERO, Janet et al. Video-consultation in primary health care: an implementation experience. Ene. [online]. 2021, vol.15, n.2, 1220.  Epub Jan 31, 2022. ISSN 1988-348X.

Video consultation (VC) represents a novel method of healthcare interaction in the context of a coronavirus pandemic. To carry out VC it is necessary to have specific technology: a program to generate virtual meetings, a computer, tablet and/or mobile phone with an integrated camera and microphone. Training is key for the process to be successful and it is not without its difficulties. This article describes the concept of VC, its use in Primary Care (PC), the role of nurses in its use, as well as an experience of implementation in PC in Tenerife.
