Abstract
COTONIETO-MARTINEZ, Ernesto and RODRIGUEZ-TERAN, Rodrigo. Community health: a review of pillars, approaches, intervention tools and its integration with primary care. JONNPR [online]. 2021, vol.6, n.2, pp.393-410. Epub Oct 16, 2023. ISSN 2529-850X. https://dx.doi.org/10.19230/jonnpr.3816.
Community health is an ambiguous concept that implies the use of various practices and approaches for intervention in the health-disease-care process in a specific community. Identifying the pillars, approaches and tools to be used at each level of community health care, as well as the principles for their integration into primary care will allow the change agents involved to understand and use this information to improve their work. Otherwise, the strengthening of community health actions in health action plans and programs will be hindered, generating no positive results in the well-being of the population.
