In Spain there are about 40,000 children in vulnerable situations. Foster care is one of the resources at their disposal protect these children who are at risk or abuse. This figure is meant for all those children who for various reasons have to leave their families because of situations of vulnerability. When the situation is so serious that prevents biological parents take care of children indefinitely, they can be adopted by a new family. Both adoption and foster care offer children the opportunity to grow in a safe, responsible and emotionally available environment to the child´s needs.
