Abstract

SANZ SANTAEUFEMIA, FJ; GARCIA TALAVERA, ME; RUIZ ZAMORA, A  and  FLORES PEREZ, P. Conservative management of pneumatocele after necrotizing pneumonia in children. Rev Pediatr Aten Primaria [online]. 2017, vol.19, n.75, pp.271-273. ISSN 1139-7632.

Pneumatocele is a rounded cystic thin-walled lesion full of air inside the lung due to a lung trauma, infection or inflammation. It can be misdiagnosed with other pulmonary air cyst as bronquiectasia or adenomatous malformation. If there are no severe respiratory symptoms, radiological follow-up will be enough avoiding harmful diagnostic or therapeutic procedures for the patient.
