Gluteal implants surgery has been developed significantly in the last 20 years, specially the intramuscular technique. On the same way, the surgical instruments for gluteal implants have been projected and developed based on the surgeon´s technical specifications. The purpose of this study is to show a new underminer projected for gluteal implants surgery, more safe and easy to execute regarding the gluteus maximums muscle characteristics. Its design is based on the anatomic characteristics of the gluteus maximums muscle and the specific needs of the gluteal implants technique (intramuscular technique). It´s more efficient, give more firmness and security to the surgeon and allows a muscular fibers undermining more smooth and anatomic. Although this new underminer needs more development and refinement, in our opinion its design shows interesting advantages in front of the traditional instruments available for gluteal implants surgery.
