Nevertheless, most of nurses consider resilience as a novel concept. The aims of this paper are to define resilience concept, to explain found empirical evidence in nursing research, and to describe main resilience development programmes and interventions. Resilience has important clinical implications for patient care as well as for own nursing self-care. Resilience can be consider as an essential and inherent feature of Nursing owing to a continuous exposure to human suffer and stressful working conditions. Therefore, resilience training should be promoted from universities to health centres for improving nursing clinical practice.
