Resumen
REIGAL, RE; CRESPILLO, M; MORILLO, JP y HERNANDEZ-MENDO, A. Autonomy support, perceived motivational climate and psychological sports profile in beach handball players. CPD [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.3, pp.102-111. Epub 26-Jul-2021. ISSN 1989-5879.
The purpose of this paper was to analyze the relationships between autonomy support and the perceived motivational climate (ego and task) with psychological sport profile in a group of beach handball players. 112 high-level competitive players, aged between 17 and 32 years, participated in the study (M = 23.23, SD = 6.81). 55.36% of the participants were male (n = 62) and 44.64% were female (n = 50). To evaluate the sample studied, the Sport Climate Questionnaire, the Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire and the Sport Performance Psychological Inventory were used. The analyzes showed significant relationships among all the constructs studied, except between the negative coping control and the perceived ego orientation. Likewise, the associations between autonomy support and task orientation with the IPED variables were positive, and between the ego orientation and the IPED variables were negative. In addition, predictive analyzes were carried out on IPED, with support for autonomy as a predictor in all cases. Task orientation predicted self-confidence, attentional control, motivational level and positive coping control, and ego-orientation visuo-imaginative control and attitudinal control.
