Resumen
VAZQUEZ-DIZ, JA et al. Performance of the goalkeeper in beach handball through polar coordinates analysis: differences by gender. CPD [online]. 2019, vol.19, n.3, pp.139-155. Epub 22-Jun-2020. ISSN 1989-5879.
The objective of this research was to analyze the performance of the goalkeeper in beach handball. An analysis of polar coordinates was made using as focal behaviors those related to the end of the attack and to the finalization of the two specific players more relevant in the positional attack, discriminating by gender. A total of 12 sessions were observed with the HOISAN computer software, using an ad hoc designed tool with 11 criteria and 85 categories. The model of observation used was punctual, multidimensional and nomothetic. The results obtained showed differences between the flow of behaviours that are significantly linked in the male category compared to the female category. In both categories has coincided that the performance of the goalkeeper is decisive to finish winning the match. However, in male category, a greater participation of the goalkeepers has been observed in the construction of the fastbreak. In addition, there are different ways of acting in both categories.
