Introduction: During 2006 / 07 the subject "Occupational Health" has been introduced in "Escuela Universitaria de Enfermería Fisioterapia y Podología" of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, as an optional subject. Aims: To Show my personal experience and to transmit the student opinion. Material and methods: During the first period of four months the subject "Occupational Health" was teached for three hours per week in two parts: 'Occupational Risk Prevention' and 'Sanitary Personnel Risk'. An inquiry was distributed at the beginning and another one at the end of course. Results: The majority of the students were studying the Nursing Diplomature. The average presence was about 30 students. The 64% of the students never had thought to work in Occupational Health before the course, but and the end, the 50% of the students considered the possibility of working in this area. The totality of the students would recommended the subject and the 75 % consider the received knowledge useful or very useful. The 77,5% thought that "Occupational Health" subject must be teached in Health Sciences Studies. Conclusions: The subject was valued as positive from students, the program of the subject was interesting for the students, exist a general ignorance about Occupational Health and it is necessary to improve the access to this knowledge.
