Low back pain affects around 70-80 percent of general population during lifetime, 15 percent of which have a clear source whereas the rest is considered non-specific or unclassifiable -and the conventional treatment has traditionally failed. The aetiology of non-specific low back pain is associated with biological, psychological and social factors along with factors such as pain behaviour and other learning processes which also influence their chronic process. Low back pain is the main cause of absenteeism-which increases costs and worsens quality of life. In order to improve efficiency, avoid chronification and reduce costs, clinical treatments should be integrated.
